Acoustic & Laminated Glass

Standard double glazing is built to stop heat loss, and it happens to cut some noise along the way — acoustic laminated glass is built specifically to stop sound. An acoustic interlayer is bonded between two panes, damping the vibration that carries noise through glass far more effectively than an ordinary sealed unit, and we vary the pane thicknesses either side of the cavity to interrupt frequencies that would otherwise pass straight through matched panes.

It's the specification we point homeowners toward on busy roads, under flight paths, or on a party wall shared with a noisy neighbour, and it can be built into any of our window or door ranges without changing how the frame looks from the outside.
